Getting Started

Sign up and log in

Create your Koalr account, verify your email, sign in, reset your password, and configure two-factor authentication.

Koalr supports email/password accounts and OAuth sign-in with GitHub or Google. Every account includes a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

Creating an account

Go to app.koalr.com/signup. You have two options:

Option A: OAuth (GitHub or Google)

Click the GitHub or Google button at the top of the form. You will be redirected to the provider's authorization page. After you approve, Koalr creates your account and signs you in automatically.

OAuth accounts do not require a separate email verification step.

Option B: Email and password

Fill in the following fields:

FieldDescription
First nameYour given name
Last nameYour family name
Work emailThe email address associated with your organization
Organization nameThe name of your company or engineering team
PasswordMinimum 8 characters

Click Create account. On success, you will see a confirmation screen with the heading "Check your email" and a link to Go to Sign In.

Verifying your email

After signing up with email and password, Koalr sends a verification link to the address you provided. Click the link in the email to verify.

The verification page at /verify-email shows one of three states:

  • Verifying your email... -- the token is being validated.
  • Email verified -- verification succeeded. You are automatically redirected to the sign-in page.
  • Verification failed -- the link is invalid or has expired. Click Go to sign in and request a new verification email if needed.

You must verify your email before you can sign in.

Signing in

Go to app.koalr.com/login. The page title reads "Sign in to Koalr".

OAuth sign-in

Click the GitHub or Google button. After authorizing with the provider, you are redirected to the Koalr dashboard.

Email and password sign-in

  1. Enter your Email and Password.
  2. Click Sign in.

If your credentials are correct and MFA is not enabled, you are redirected to the dashboard (by default, /overview).

A Forgot password? link appears below the password field. See the password reset section below.

Two-factor authentication (MFA)

If your account has TOTP-based two-factor authentication enabled, the sign-in flow adds a second step.

After entering your email and password:

  1. The page changes to show the heading "Two-Factor Authentication".
  2. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or any TOTP-compatible app).
  3. Click Verify.

If the code is correct, you are signed in and redirected to the dashboard. If the code is invalid, an error message appears and you can try again.

Enabling MFA

To enable two-factor authentication on your account, go to Settings in the sidebar and follow the MFA setup instructions under the Security section.

Resetting your password

If you forget your password:

  1. Go to the sign-in page and click Forgot password?, or navigate directly to app.koalr.com/forgot-password.
  2. The page title reads "Reset your password". Enter your Email address.
  3. Click Send reset link.
  4. If an account exists for that email, Koalr sends a password reset link. The confirmation screen reads "Check your email".
  5. Click the link in the email and follow the instructions to set a new password.
  6. Click Back to sign in to return to the login page.
