Notifications
Configure notification preferences and scheduled Slack deliveries for your organization.
Overview
The Notifications settings page controls how and when Koalr communicates with your team. It is split into two sections: Scheduled Deliveries for automated recurring Slack messages, and Notification Preferences for event-driven alerts.
Navigate to Settings > Notifications to manage these settings.
Scheduled deliveries
Scheduled deliveries are automated Slack messages sent on a fixed schedule. They require an active Slack integration with a default channel configured in Settings > Integrations.
Daily Standup Digest
A per-developer activity summary with blockers, posted to your configured Slack channel every weekday at 9:00 AM. Toggle this on or off independently of other notifications.
Well-Being Daily Check-In
An anonymous one-question pulse survey covering five well-being pillars, posted to Slack every weekday at 9:30 AM. Responses feed into the Well-Being dashboard.
Weekly Engineering Digest
A summary of DORA metrics, PR activity, top contributors, and risk alerts, posted to Slack every Monday at 8:00 AM. You can:
- Set the target channel -- specify which Slack channel receives the digest
- Send now -- manually trigger an immediate delivery for testing or ad-hoc review
- View last sent date -- see when the most recent digest was delivered
Notification preferences
Event-driven notifications can be enabled or disabled individually, and each can be routed to one or both delivery channels: Email and Slack.

Configuring a notification
For each notification type you can:
- Toggle enabled/disabled -- use the switch on the right to turn the notification on or off entirely.
- Select channels -- when enabled, check or uncheck Email and Slack to control where the notification is delivered.
Notifications marked as "Organization default" apply to all members unless individually overridden.
Prerequisites
- Slack notifications require an active Slack integration. Connect Slack in Settings > Integrations and configure a default channel.
- Email notifications are delivered to each user's registered email address and require no additional setup.
